What losing my job taught me about abundance

I have never not worked. I may have been a teenager the last time I didn’t have a job. When I got laid off, my immediate reaction was a bit of relief mixed with pure anxiety about the future.

However, I decided to make the most of whatever I have in my life. I went from having an abundance of work and income… to having an abundance of time and energy.

I am going to make the best use of it that I responsibly can. For me, that means taking a short trip out of the country and taking watercolor classes. I’ve made changes in my home that I hadn’t had time to complete. I take hikes on weekdays. I go to the museum. I make complicated meals that I didn’t have the time to make.

Maintaining your personal energy is key to good Feng Shui. Your personal energy is a huge component of the overall energy in your home. A change in your mindset can make all the difference. It may look different at different times of your life, but there is always abundance.
